Joseph Jaffe Hits Sydney - May 2

UPDATE - APRIL 29: We are going to extend the meetup with Joseph with a geek dinner at 7.30pm at Roy’s Famous Cafe in Potts Point before strolling down to the Water Bar for drinks from 9.30pm.
The dinner will be a relaxed and casual affair so any Sydneysider with an interest in new marketing or social media can really make a night of it next Wednesday (May 2).
Everyone is welcome, the more the merrier! It would be great if you could leave a comment or email me by Tuesday (young.paull at gmail.com) so I can make a booking.
From chats I’ve had so far, I’m hoping to see Trevor Cook, Steven Lewis, Gavin Heaton, Michael Henderson and Lukas Picton in attendance, alongside an eclectic mix of Sydney’s best and bloggiest. Don’t by shy - come on down and join us!
Fellow Aussies - Want to meet one of the rockstars of new marketing? Wednesday May 2 is your chance when Joseph Jaffe visits the world’s most beautiful city (and if we’re really lucky, maybe we can help him trash his hotel room).
Jaffe, who the SMH calls an ’attention seeking nutter of the new media arena’ is the President of crayon, the author of Life After the 30 Second Spot and the host of the Across the Sound podcast.
Jaffe will be sharing some drinks with new marketing savvy Aussies (all welcome!) at the Water Bar on Cowper Wharf, Woolloomooloo, from 9.30pm on Wednesday May 2.

Steven - I think Joseph is running on New York time. Sydney doesn’t quite measure up as a city that never sleeps.
I should have also added above that Joseph is having a little bit of a Visa issue. He’s hopeful it will all get sorted out, but there’s some slim chance he might have to cancel.

Joseph posts on his blog that he’ll be drinking “lite” beer as part of his weight-loss campaign. Do we sell low-cal beer here or does “light” just mean low alcohol? I can’t knock it as I’ll be drinking v. little as I’ll be driving.
